Newtown Gym is situated in the heart of vibrant King Street, Newtown, in Sydney's Inner West. Located above Civic Video, we have around 1,000 square metres of space over two floors, with two group exercise studios, cycle studio, fully equipped weights room, cardio-theatre, and a stretch/core area.

We are hard to beat for value and service, and we have all your needs covered when it comes to keeping fit and healthy!

2010 - New Class Timetable
Happy New Year to everyone! We have a few changes to our class timetable that started this year. You can go to the classes page, where you can access the timetables for the upcoming two weeks (current week & next week) - this also shows the instructor scheduled to teach each class. We also have created this link for you to view our opening and closing times for the current fortnight.

Newtown Gym
Established over 15 years ago, we pride ourselves on always trying to improve our facilities and services. We are open 7 days a week (view our opening hours) - 5.45am to 10pm weekdays and 7am to 7pm on weekends/Public Holidays. We normally only close for Christmas Day and New Year's Day. We have a diverse range of customers so we attempt to provide a varied range of health & fitness services to suit our guests. We have a morning creche facility which is popular with those with children (view creche details) help maintain their fitness. We proudly boast an extensive class timetable - we have over 55 classes a week to choose from for those who like group exercise (view our timetable). We also provide fitness assessments and programs to members who join for 3 months or longer (view details on personal trainers).

Looking to join a gym?
We are happy to offer people who have never been to our facility a free trial visit. Just bring photo ID, a towel, wear enclosed shoes (why do I need a towel and wear enclosed shoes?), and bring a small padlock if you would like to use one of the lockers in our change rooms. Our friendly reception staff will need a few details prior to you using our gym - you can even try a class if you like. If you join, we don't charge a joining/administration fee, except for a $10 charge for setting up direct debit memberships with DebitSuccess, our billing service provider.
