About Us
Newtown Gym is situated in the heart of vibrant King Street, in Newtown. Located above Civic Video, we have around 1,000 square metres of floor space with two group exercise studios, a group cycle studio, a fully equipped weights room, and a cardio-theatre. We have all your needs covered when it comes to keeping fit and healthy!

Newtown Gym
Established over 15 years ago, we pride ourselves on always trying to improve our facilities and services. We are open 7 days a week (view our opening hours) with a diverse range of customers - we attempt to cater to as many people as we can. We have a morning creche facility which is popular with those with children (view creche details) and have over 50 classes to choose from for those who like group exercise (view our timetable). We also provide fitness assessments and programs to members who join for 3 months or longer (view details on personal trainers).
Looking to join a gym?
We offer people who have never been to Newtown Gym before a trial visit. Just bring a towel, wear enclosed shoes (why do I need a towel and wear enclosed shoes?), and bring a small padlock if you would like to use one of the lockers in the change rooms. Let us know at reception that you want to try the gym and then you can go for a workout - you can even try a class if you like. Feel free to ask us any questions you may have while you are there - we look forward to seeing you!
