Are you looking to join a gym?
If you are here, it is probably because you want to make the most of your greatest gift - your health. A good place to check out here on our website is in the answers to frequently asked questions.
Why not try Newtown Gym?
We are happy to offer people who have never been to our facility a free trial visit. Just bring valid photo ID, a towel, wear enclosed shoes (why do I need a towel and wear enclosed shoes?), and bring a small padlock if you would like to use one of the lockers in our change rooms. Our friendly reception staff will need a few details prior to you using our gym - you can even try a class if you like.
Want to know our prices?
If you join, we don't charge a joining/administration fee, except for a $10 charge for setting up direct debit memberships with DebitSuccess, our billing service provider. All fees are listed on our membership fees page, which includes casual visits and 10-visit passes, and longer memberships, whether they be paid in full or direct debits (weekly or monthly). If you have insurance with a health fund, you may be eligible for a rebate on a portion of your gym membership fees.
Class timetable & opening hours
We only get one body, so sooner or later it will remind us that it needs a little of your attention. Maybe one of our 50-plus one-hour classes each week (plus a half-hour Body Pump Technique class each Sunday morning) can get you going? Just go to our classes page, where you can access the timetables for the upcoming two weeks (current week & next week) - this also shows the (qualified, registered and insured) instructor scheduled to teach each class. No more excuses - whatever time of the day you can make time for a workout, odds are we are open - here you can find our opening and closing times for the current fortnight.
Daunted about joining a gym?
We realise that getting started in making healthier choices can be overwhelming. Maybe you're not quite ready to join a gym, but you can get started (right now) as help is everywhere. A vital factor, within your control, that affects your health risks is what you put in your mouth. If you can modify your diet and just start by going for a walk most days, you can start to see and feel changes relatively quickly. Avoid marketing and advertising gimmicks that promise the "golden bullet". A great free service available to NSW residents 18 years old and over is The Get Healthy Information and Coaching Service®, which has been developed by the NSW Government. Check out their website to see just one of many ways to achieve your goals. The first step is to commit to yourself - remember that the most worthwhile things in life generally take effort, but good health is within most people's reach. You are worth it!
To summarise our facilities , we have -
- Fitness Assessments and Programs included in memberships longer than 3 months
- A fully-equipped weights area, with both free weights and pin-loaded machines
- Computerised cardio machines
- Two group exercise rooms

And much more.....
Feel free to ask us any questions you may have while you are here - we look forward to seeing you! The same as saving, small regular 'deposits' are the way to a healthier life - prevention is better than the cure! It takes effort to build a new habit, but it's not as hard as you think, as there are many sources of information and support. With a little bit of regular exercise, as you improve your nutritional input (and maybe reduce a few bad habits like smoking), you can create improvements to your life.
